Still Some Things to Learn
I flew to Columbus, OH today for a Joint Board Meeting of Seabury and Bexley at Trinity Lutheran Seminary.
The travel was frustrating, because I have done lots of travel, and I allowed myself to rush the details. First there were the reservations. They were split, leaving and return were separate. Only problem, I did not get confirmation on the outbound leg and, in fact had no reservation. Three weeks later, higher fee to use my miles, but problem solved.
In Dallas I began looking for my connecting flight, not sure why it was not the same as Lane’s. Only as his flight left did I realize that I had booked a ticket to Columbus, Georgia instead. Twenty minutes later, higher fee to change my itinerary, problem solved.
Here now, relishing the -7 degrees that met me.
Maybe I just need to take each reservation, action, thought, as if it was just as important and full of possibilities as the first one.
